2024 Summer Outing at Rotary Gardens
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual summer outing at Rotary Botanical Gardens, Rock County’s most visited tourist destination. It was a wonderful evening to connect, learn, and celebrate the ongoing work and innovation happening in Rock County agriculture.
The event began at 4:00 PM with an optional guided garden tour, where attendees explored the grounds and learned about the continued development and impact of the gardens in our community.
At 5:00 PM, our program featured a series of presentations and demonstrations, including:
Grown Climate Smart: A Sustainable Agriculture Program
Presented by Dylan Vaca, The DeLong CompanyAgriculture Proposal for the Janesville Children’s Museum
Presented by John Westphal and Randy HughesNew Drone Technology and Field Demonstration
Presented by Jeramy Williams, American Drone
After the program, attendees stayed to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, conversation, and time in the gardens. Complimentary locally brewed tap beer was provided by Randy Hughes, with additional beverages available at the cash bar.
This free event remains an important opportunity to highlight agricultural progress, foster collaboration, and strengthen the network that supports Rock County’s ag community. We are grateful for the presenters, partners, and guests who helped make the evening successful.
We look forward to seeing you at next year’s summer outing.
